Just recently, the Vancouver Park Board announced that the pool would remain closed for the rest of the year, which was disappointing news for many. However, thanks to the dedicated efforts of Mayor Ken Sim, the situation has turned around. Mayor Sim has been working hard getting the necessary repairs done, ensuring that the pool will be ready for us much sooner than expected. He has announced that the pool will officially open on August 7th, just in time to make the most of the summer season.
