Question: May I have a free listing?

Answer: If you operate a business in and around the Vancouver area you qualify for a free listing in the Downtown Vancouver Directory.

Question: What does my free listing include?

Answer: Your free listing includes your company name, address, phone number and a twenty word description. It also includes a link to your website with the condition you provide us a back-link or display our linked banner which is below.

Question: What is a back link?

Answer: A link back to DowntownVancouver.com as outlined below.

Question: I don't want to put links and banners on my site because it will mess up the look and feel. Do I have to link to DowntownVancouver.com in order to have my linked website address included in my listing?

Answer: No, if you do not wish to include our link or banner on your site for whatever reason, but you want your web address linked to your website in your listing you may pay $99.00 and we will include your listing with link within 3 business days.

Question: How do I get my listing?

Answer: Fill out and submit the free listing request form below.

Question: How soon will I see my listing?

Answer: For a standard free listing, if you have placed our banner or back link your listing will appear between 3 to 8 weeks. In the case that you are paying $99.00 because you are not displaying our banner or back link then your listing will show in 3 business days. In the case that you have displayed our banner or back link and you want your listing live ASAP you may pay $69.95 and your listing will show in 3 business days.

Question: Why does it take 3 to 8 weeks for a standard free listing?

Answer: We receive a huge number of free listing requests each month and we have to go through them one by one to ensure they are all businesses from the Vancouver area. If we did not moderate these listing requests our directory would be over run with businesses from out of our area very quickly.

Question: How do I change or update my information once my listing is live?

Answer: To update your listing email your changes to contact@downtownvancouver.com

Please note: In regard to business names, we do not accept A or AA or any other letters or numbers in front of your business name that would manipulate the order in which your listing would appear. Please use your real business name so your listing is not delayed further.
